JOVITA T. WANG

partner

Jovita’s spirited independence and levelheadedness guide her practice. Jovita adopts a creative approach to framing legal arguments. Her love of words and reading keep her informed and on the leading edge of the profession. With the quick and detailed eye of a detective, her research and understanding of evidence culminates in strong and persuasive advocacy.

Jovita’s engaging and open nature allows her to connect with clients as she readily understands the circumstances they face. Poised and calm under pressure, her diligence achieves positive outcomes. Jovita’s forays into the study of design thinking and deep interest in innovation produce fresh and forward-thinking ideas.

Jovita’s practice focuses on complex commercial litigation and business disputes, including contractual claims, economic torts, and professional liability. A versatile litigator, she represents both plaintiffs and defendants. She has successfully defended numerous preliminary injunction hearings, including cases involving a violation of a non-compete and misappropriation of trade secrets. She has successfully defended summary judgment motions and successfully obtained summary judgment motions in various practice areas such as breach of contract, employment disputes, legal negligence, and real property disputes. Jovita strives to favorably resolve cases for her clients in an efficient and economical manner, which will often result in settlement prior to trial. But Jovita also embraces the opportunity to go to trial. She works hard to champion for her clients who have been wronged.

Her tactical skills bring the added benefit of rising to leadership roles in the organizations she serves, working to increase equity throughout Oregon. She is dedicated to giving back to our community and improving the legal profession through her various board involvement.
